BMW iDrive digital service history is the service record stored on the car, shown in the iDrive and read by dealers and specialists. When we service a BMW we write that entry electronically. You do not need a main dealer visit just to get a stamp. The history stays with the vehicle.
What you see in the car
On later BMWs, Vehicle Check and Oil Service (CBS) live in the iDrive. After a service, the due dates reset and the record shows the work. That is what a buyer or a dealer looks at, not a faded booklet in the glovebox.
How we update it
We connect the diagnostic kit, carry out the service to the schedule, then write the digital service entry. If something extra was done, that can be noted on the invoice as well.
This is standard independent BMW practice, not a dealer-only function.
Why it matters
A BMW with complete digital history is easier to sell and easier to warranty-check. Missing entries look like missed services, even if the oil was changed.
